Four players with a
mission - to share
their passion for the
music of New Orleans
- not simply the jazz
classics of the
early 20th century,
but the blues,
negro spirituals,
and all the tunes
and rhythms introduced
by the waves
of
immigrants who have
enriched the musical
traditions of the "big easy".
As the group's name
suggests,
La Planche à Laver
(washboard) is given the
starring role
in the quartet.
